A fraud in plain sight, Living in eternal night.
A hollow shell, empty and numb.
No soul, all out of control
In darkness, I dwell, in my mind, I see hell.
You and I, we’re not alright, it’s never fine, no
All my own mistakes, this never-ending self-hate
So, we’ll try to live a lie, I’d rather die, so.
So, I'll smile as I know nothing.
I’m talentless but connected
A fraud in plain sight
Living with no light
Not even in the dark I can hide
I’m trapped in the cycle of lies,
haunted by fear of being compromised
In darkness, I dwell, in my mind, I see hell.
You and I, we’re not alright, it’s never fine, no
So, I'll smile as I know nothing.
I’m talented and connected
So, we’ll try to live a lie, I’d rather die, so.
I can’t stop seeking validation
I’m verified and respected
I’m a counterfeit
Talentless but connected
Why hate me?
I'm perfect
Why hate me?
I'm perfect

Before Ashen, I thought they were overrated. Deathcore bands seem to have a capacity to evolve quickly. I’ve seen quite a few bands in this genre grow exponentially from one album to the next, and Ashen is a particularly strong example. Metallurgical Fire
This album immediately slaps you in the face with some of the chunkiest bass lines you will ever encounter, and then sucks you in with a stupendous ride through a surprisingly wide array of emotions. Fractal Sliver

I am more a melodeath guy than deathcore, but I enjoy all the symphonic elements or rythym changes. This album is a BLAST omg my neck hurt, so much headbang🤘🤘 olive855
